Duplicate Indian Driving License Procedure

Hello Readers,
You guys must be worried as you have lost your Driving License. (that's why you are reading this blog right!), don'worry, its very simple procedure for the issue of duplicate driving license.
All you have to do is follow step by step procedure.

Documents Required-

1 Photocopy of ID proof ( Voter Id/Aadhar etc.)
2 Photocopy of Lost DL.
3 Photocopy of  NOC.
4 Photocopy of FIR
 Don't forget to keep original Documents with 2 passport size photographs. Also keep 1 pen and fevistick.

Step 1- Take NOC

NOC 

First of all you need to go Police Control Room of your city, where you need to take NOC. Find the concerned room and ask for NOC form. Fill it and submit that form along with 1 photocopy of your ID proof and 1 copy of your lost DL. Then you have to wait for around 45 minutes as police officer will verify that your Dl is not taken by traffic police. After verification Officer will give you NOC.

Now you need to file a FIR. Yes its the time to enter in THANA. But don't forget to take 1-1 photocopy of your ID proof, Lost DL and NOC. Then write a application and have 1 photocopy also. Police officer will take your documents and will do some paperwork. Then after all that he will affix seal on 1 copy of FIR and will give that to you. This procedure will take about 20 minutes.

Step 3- Now reach RTO

Guys now reach the RTO where your lost DL was made. Don't be confused. As you have to go from 1 window to other. ( I have experienced 5 windows)

Window 1- 

Take 2 forms from the reception.
1- Form for duplicate License.
2- Computerized form for Driving License.
Now fill those forms. Arrange all the documents. 1-1 photocopies of ID proof, Lost DL, NOC and FIR.

Window 2-

Now take that set to another window where concerned officer will check all the documents and will sign.

Window 3-

Now take that set to another window where concerned officer will put all the data in computer and will again verify.

Window 4- Payment of FEE

Now you need to pay a fee of RS 200, don't forget to take the receipt.

Window 5- 

Now you need to submit your documents and officer will give you a slip.

Finally the last step, now you need to enter in a room where your photograph will be clicked and your digital signature and thumb impression will be taken.

Congratulations!
Now you can drink a glass of water and relax. After 10-15 days a duplicate license will be delivered to your address.

How a WLAN station connects to an Access Point ?

WLAN connection is a 3 step process:

• Scanning
• Authentication
• Association

Scanning : - Station does a scan to find an appropriate AP to which a WLAN station(STA) wants to connect to. For detailed understanding, Please read my another article on WLAN Scanning.

Authentication:-
Authentication is a process by which WLAN STA proves its identity to an AP. Authentication could be :

• An open system authentication : In an open system authentication ,WLAN STA does not need any password/secret passphrase to connect to an AP. WLAN STA just says "authenticate me" and  an AP says "Yes, you are authenticated",  And AP and STA can start data exchange after this.
• Pre-shared key authentication : In shared key authentication there is a pre-shared,    key which both parties(AP and STA) know about. When STA wants to authenticate with an AP, 
• it sends an authentication request frame to an AP.
• Ap sends the "Challenge Text" to STA.
• STA encrypts this "Challenge Text" with shared key it has, and sends back to an AP.
• AP decrypts this "Challenge Text" and matches it with the original  "Challenge Text" it had. If both texts match AP sends the OK confirmation to a STA. And after this association process starts.

Association:

1. 802.11 association  process finalizes the security and bit rate options and establishes the data link between station and an access point.
2. 802.11 association process enables the access point to allocate resources to WLAN STA.
3. WLAN STA starts the association process by sending an association request frame to an AP.
1. This association frame contains information about the station like supported data rates and SSID it wants to associate with.
2. In response to association request, AP sends back an association response, which may contain approval or disapproval.
3. If an AP approves the association request, it will send back the Association ID (AID) and supported data rates.
4. After association STA becomes the member of a BSS.
5. STA can send data to an AP.
6. AID  identifies each station.
